  • Should representatives of YHWH be using Curse Words & Profanity?(we have lightly edited this article)

Using Curse Words & Profanity An Exposé of the Difference Between the Two & Whether or not There Are Spiritual Consequences for Speaking Them By Obadiyah ( possibly published around 2016/2017) Shalom, brothers and sisters. All praises are given to Yah, the Most High, through his son, Yahoshua, who has been given to us as Messiyah—redeemer and savior. I would like to briefly touch upon what curse words and profanity are.  As we strengthen our walk with Yah we understand that we must shed all the remnants of Babylon.  Before we come into the fullness of our walk with the Father, Babylon must be given back her food, thoughts, clothes, ways, and more importantly, her speech. Within the language of Babylon (English), she has a group of words that she has set aside. These words are considered to be at the bottom of the language.  Of course I am speaking about the so-called curse words.  While I do not intend to offend anyone, it's important that I list these words to ensure readers have an understanding of what is what. The following are primary curse words used in the ENGLISH LANGUAGE: ( we have removed this list ) we do believe the reader can still get the full gist of what's being said in this part without the list Does a Curse Word Indeed Bring about a Curse? According to the Oxford Illustrated Dictionary, the definition of a curse word is as follows (see page 205). CURSE:  1.)  A SOLEMN UTTERANCE INTENDED TO INVOKE A SUPERNATURAL POWER TO INFLICT DESTRUCTION OR PUNISHMENT ON A PERSON OR THING.  2.)  THE EVIL SUPPOSEDLY RESULTING FROM A CURSE. Those two definitions are exactly what a curse is and we can prove this. The Curses of the Israylites When Yah pronounced the curses upon His people, Israyl, not one of the so-called curse words of Babylon was used. Deuteronomy 28:16 - Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. v. 17 - Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. v. 18 - Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. v. 19 - Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. v. 20 - YAH shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. By Yah saying that Israyl would be cursed, He is not saying Israyl would go around speaking the profanity of Babylon.  When Yah spoke the curses against Israyl He pronounced a power to inflict destruction or punishment on a people.  That's what a curse is—words uttered to bring about evil on a person or thing.  True curse words are: ( we have removed this list ) we do believe the reader can still get the full gist of what's being said without the list ,the author used examples like popular sayings/trending sayings that people speak to each other that are negative ,degrading etc These are curses many of you may have UNKNOWINGLY thrown at people, and had them thrown back at you.  Many of our children throw curses at each other every day because they have not been taught what a curse word is.  We nor they pay it any mind.  Curses are real.  And we Israylites are living proof of that.  Every curse Yah pronounced upon us has come true. Everything from captivity to coming into slavery in ships has happened to the Israylite nation. The Curse of the Chicago Cubs Let’s briefly look at a very famous curse of our modern times.  This is the curse of baseball team, the Chicago Cubs, book by William Billy Sianis. gives a detailed account. Notice when this guy puts the curse on the Chicago Cubs he didn't go out and do some ritual.  Rather he just spoke it into being by saying, "The Cubs ain't gonna win no more."  They have been nothing but losers ever since.  In fact, they have not made it back to the championship since 1945, the year the curse was placed upon them.  Granted they have come close but never made it; and the only reason they can't win is because they are cursed. Another point to notice is the guy who put the curse on the Cubs never used one of the so-called curse words of Babylon. The infamous black cat circles Ron Santo in 1969 at Shea Stadium, just before the "Miracle Mets" write another chapter of the Cubs' curse. Now since we know the curse words spoken in the language of BABYLON are not curse words at all, what are they? They are profanity—words of profane. Scripture Warns Against Using Profanity Profane is the root word of Profanity.  Profanity means "a profane act, profane language, and blasphemy."  Profane means "vulgar and obscene."  These words are considered to be the filthiest words in the English language.  If the Gentiles say these words are profane and garbage, then we should take note.  We know the things they consider good is actually bad.  So we know if they say something of theirs is bad, IT IS BAD.  FOR THAT REASON, WE SHOULD NOT SPEAK ANY PROFANITY. THE OTHER REASON IS THAT WE ARE TOLD NOT TO SPEAK ANY PROFANE WORDS. 1 Timothy 6:20 - O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:2 Timothy 2:16 - But shun profane (PROFANITY) and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more WICKEDNESS. Be careful of that negative energy you throw out because it will come back. Pronouncing curses and using profanity is negative energy.  Words come from within.  If you speak profane things, they are coming from your heart.  You must remove all profanity and negative energy from your temple.  That's the only way Yah will dwell within.  Yah is not profane.  He does not deal with profanity or profane things nor does he dwell in profanity.  Profanity is of the Devil.  Those who are of Yah only speak the words of Yah.  John 3:34 - For he whom Yah has sent speaketh the words of YAH: for YAH does not give the Spirit by measure unto him.Never forget that you will be held accountable for every idle word you speak. Matthew 12:36 - But I say unto you, That every idle word men shall speak, they shall give an account thereof in the day of judgment.I pray this article will help you in your walk with Yah and bring you closer to the Father. Shalom.

  • Wearing Our Tassels&Fringes-IS IT STILL REQUIRED TODAY? (original article written by obadiyah)

(we have lightly edited this article) Shalom, brothers and sisters. Yah, our Mighty One, gave us a commandment in the Torah—the law or instructions in the first five books of the bible—stating that we are to wear tassels or fringes on the four corners of our garments. This is done so that we may look upon the tassels and remember the commandments of YAH. Numbers 15:37 - And YAH spoke unto Moses, saying, v. 38 - Speak unto the children of YahsharAl (israel), and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: v. 39 - And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of YAH, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a-whoring: v. 40 - That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be SET APART unto YAH. v. 41 - I am YAH your MIGHTY ONE, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your FATHER: I am YAH your MIGHTY ONE. Deuteronomy 22:12 - you shall make you fringes upon the four quarters of your vesture, wherewith you cover yourself. Yahushuwah, the Messiah, wore fringes. Matthew 9:19 - And Yahushuwah arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. v. 20 - And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: The word hem comes from the Greek word kraspedon which means, "a fringe or tassel" (STRONG'S #2899). Our Messiah kept this law. "you shall make you fringes..." (Duet. 22:12) Doesn't the New Covenant Do Away with This Commandment? Some Hebrews teach that we no longer need to wear the fringes because now the commandments are in our hearts as part of the New Covenant. That is NOT so. Yah never abolished this law. You will not find one scripture that says "You shall not wear your fringes because the law in now on your heart. They misapply Jeremiyah 31 which tells us this: Jeremiyah 31:31 - Behold, the days come, saith YAH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israyl, and with the house of Judah: v. 32 - Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith YAH: v. 33 - But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israyl; After those days, saith YAH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their FATHER, and they shall be my CHILDREN. v. 34 - And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know YAH: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith YAH: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Yah says when the new covenant takes effect all Israyl will know him and his laws will be in our hearts. What this means is that the laws of Yah will be our nature. It will be a part of who we are. But Yah's laws are supposed to be on our heart and mind. His laws are forever on the hearts of the righteous. Deuteronomy 30:14 - But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. Psalms 37:30 - The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. v. 31 - The law of his MIGHTY ONE is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide Psalms 119:11 - Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Proverbs 7:2 - Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. v. 3 - Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. Isaiyah 51:7 - Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings. Job 22:22 - Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart. Yah's law is upon our hearts now and the commandment of wearing the fringes still remain. You cannot use Jeremiyah 31 as an excuse to be disobedient to Yah. Our fringes should be worn on our garments. To Learn How to Make or Purchase Wear Tassels/Fringes-Contact us through the Arukah YAH Ahmet form at bottom of page They can be long or short and come in all sorts of designs. While some are braided together, others are put into knots. And some are long, blue, hanging strings. The design is not important. What is important is that you wear them. YOU MUST WEAR THEM on the four corners of your garment, which are located on the sides. They are easy to attach to your clothing. You can safety pin them on, have them sewn or stitched onto your garment, or attach them via eyelets. REMEMBER, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, THIS IS A COMMANDMENT FROM YAH. So wear them with the pride of YAH and let them dangle and blow in the wind. Shalom.
